Andy Rahman is an architect and graduate of ITS Surabaya, known for an approach that prioritises precision, local elements and collaboration with craftspeople to explore local materials through recycling and reuse. His passion for Nusantara Architecture has given
rise to a unique philosophy: “Architecture as a way home.”
The design character represents a growing commitment to making a significant impact on the environment through architecture. Good architecture must be able to stand on its own within its context, harmonize with nature, and serve as a marker of its time. The use of materials in
distinctive compositions creates exteriors and interiors rich in organic textures. Collaborating with local craftsmen as creative partners yields architectural details that are both humanistic and personal.
